Preparing for Spring and Beyond: MCI’s Expert Insights
As the seasons transition and the promise of warmer weather beckons, it’s imperative for those of us in the transportation industry to ensure we’re fully prepared for the demands of the upcoming months. MCI, a renowned leader in coach manufacturing and sponsor of the Women in Buses Council, is facilitating an insightful webinar on May 1 to help equip us with the knowledge and tools necessary for a successful spring and summer tour season.
Ensuring operational efficiency
The key to our success in the coming months is using spring to prepare our motorcoaches. As tour operators gear up for increased travel demand, it’s vital to ensure that coaches are in optimal condition. Operators can mitigate risks and deliver exceptional client service by prioritizing readiness.
Staying ahead in a dynamic market
Staying abreast of the latest developments in parts and sales is crucial for maintaining a competitive edge. By doing so, we can make informed decisions that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
Harnessing innovation for enhanced performance
Innovation is at the heart of progress in the tourism transportation sector. Our MCI presenters will share the latest in technical advancements in coach manufacturing.
Who’s on the panel?
The May 1 webinar will feature MCI’s Scott Crawford, Dave Mailhot, Brent Maitland, and Tom Wagner, moderated by Josie Arrington, MCI’s Service Center Operations Manager and WIB’s Vice-Chair of Operations, Drivers, and Maintenance Committee.

Register Now: Connecting Through Conversations
Last month, we announced the launch of our newest initiative. Connecting Through Conversations (CTC) randomly pairs enrolled members for one-on-one connections – leading to impactful discussions, learning opportunities, valuable networking, and added support for each other.
Communication and networking are pillars of WIB’s mission, as we understand the benefits – both professionally and personally. We all have our “conference buddies” that we only see several times a year during various events and conferences. CTC will allow these relationships to grow as colleagues, but more importantly – as friends.
If you haven’t signed up yet, there’s still time. Registration closes Wednesday, May 8.
Our introductory webinar also provides details about the initiative. If you have specific questions, you can contact CTC’s lead, Hannah Oliver.
May 15: WIB Meet and Eat
Join us for our monthly informal chat, where the topics can go anywhere. Want to follow up on the Wednesday Webinar? Do you have your CTC conversation starters? What are you reading? Need advice? This is a great forum to connect! Grab a seat at our virtual lunch table by registering today.
POLL: OFF THE BEATEN PATH
National Travel and Tourism Week occurs in May and many like to celebrate for the whole month, or … all the time! What is the most off-the-beaten-path place you’ve visited?
Women in Buses thanks MCI for their continued support.
