ABA Statement on Reported Discrimination of Bus Companies
The American Bus Association (ABA) – the leading industry trade organization representing the leading motorcoach and group travel and tourism companies – released the following statement regarding the stranding of hundreds of Jewish passengers on their way to a rally in Washington, D.C. because of a driver “sick out” protest.
“The American Bus Association objects to any form of discrimination based on race, sex, religion, or political viewpoint. We are disheartened to hear of any company stranding customers because of discrimination. We encourage all our members and the industry at large to stand against racism and discrimination in any form. We are investigating to find out which company or companies allowed this act of discrimination to happen.”
