Visit Myrtle Beach is pleased to announce two key promotions within the Group Sales department, reflecting both the organization’s internal commitment to team development and the broader economic importance of group travel to the Grand Strand region.

Lori Lampo has been promoted to Senior Sales Manager of Group Tour and Leisure Sales. In this role, Lampo will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of sales strategies for the group tour, motorcoach, and leisure market segments. Her efforts will play a vital role in generating travel demand and strengthening consumer awareness of Myrtle Beach as a premier destination.

Lampo has been with the organization for six years, holding the position of Group Sales Manager, where she oversaw group business accounts such as the South Atlantic Shrine Association, which brings several thousand attendees to Myrtle Beach annually. She holds certifications as a Certified Faith-Based Meeting Professional and a Certified Autism Travel Professional.

Zavier Jones has been promoted to Associate Group Sales Manager. Zavier will work alongside Cyndi Mohr to attract and secure meeting and convention bookings for the Myrtle Beach area. His work supports the region’s year-round appeal for business, incentive and association travel.

“Please join us in congratulating both Lori and Zavier on these well-earned achievements,” said Bob Harris, Executive Vice President of Group Sales, Visit Myrtle Beach. “Their professionalism and dedication continue to elevate our region’s quality of life as they work to secure group and leisure tourism business, which is critical to the health and stability of our regional economy.”

Group-based tourism generated over $282 million for the Myrtle Beach area in 2024, supporting thousands of jobs and small businesses while funding tax-driven public services. These meetings, conventions and events also help to flatten seasonal demand curves and support year-round jobs by bringing business to the area during off-peak periods.

Visit Myrtle Beach is also actively seeking a dynamic and motivated professional to join the team as Assistant Sales Manager, Group Sales. This key position will support the development and execution of strategies to grow group business in the region.
