Transcor Data Services (TDS), North America’s premier provider of advanced technology solutions for the ground transportation industry, has announced its expansion into Latin America, with initial operations launching in Mexico. This strategic growth aims to enhance the region’s bus industry, with TDS offering its renowned technology solutions to improve efficiency, passenger experience, and profitability for Latin American bus operators.

Jose Luis Moreno, TDS’ new Senior Vice President of Business Development

To lead this ambitious expansion, TDS has appointed industry veteran Jose Luis Moreno as Senior Vice President of Business Development. With over 30 years of experience in transportation, Moreno previously held leadership roles at Greyhound, where he made significant contributions to the company’s U.S. Hispanic market and Latin American operations. His notable achievements include leading the project that enabled Greyhound to secure a domestic federal route permit in Mexico, establishing the company as the first foreign carrier with a successful presence in the Mexican market.

In his new role at TDS, Moreno will report directly to John Baranowski, TDS’s Chief Commercial Officer, overseeing the company’s business development efforts throughout Mexico and the broader Latin American market. He will focus on expanding TDS’s partnerships with the region’s 2,500 registered bus operators, helping these companies grow through advanced customer service, efficient operations, and data-driven insights.

Over the past decade, TDS has built a reputation as North America’s largest platform for ticketing, reservations, and dynamic pricing solutions, empowering ground transportation providers to enhance their operations. With this expansion, TDS will bring cutting-edge tools such as demand-based routing, interline reservations, real-time tracking and management, and machine learning frameworks to Mexico and Latin America, all designed to maximize ROI and unlock new revenue streams.

“TDS has established itself as a leading platform for bus carriers across North America. Now, we are excited to extend our reach to support bus operators in Mexico and beyond,” said Terry Cordell, TDS’s CEO. He emphasized that these tools will allow Latin American carriers to remain competitive and adapt to evolving market demands.

Moreno enthusiastically said, “I am thrilled to join TDS and lead this expansion. Our commitment is to advance the bus transportation industry in Latin America with innovative technology, ensuring that our partners remain resilient and successful in the face of new challenges.”

This expansion marks a significant milestone for TDS, solidifying its role as a key player in transforming ground transportation technology worldwide.
