The American Bus Association Foundation (ABAF), the largest non-profit organization in the group travel industry dedicated to research and scholarships, is thrilled to announce the 2025 ABAF Scholarship Program recipients.

Each year, the ABA Foundation awards more than $100,000 in scholarships to over 20 exceptional college students who are either employees or dependents of employees at ABA member companies or are pursuing studies in the travel and tourism field.

“ABA is truly proud to support these leaders of the future of the travel and tourism industry through our Foundation scholarship program,” said ABA Foundation President Fred Ferguson. “These excellent students show the next generation of professionals and innovators who will open roads for our industry moving forward. By taking charge of their education and of their future, the American Bus Association Foundation is investing in the future of group travel and tourism.”

Lew Myers, ABAF’s Director of Policy, Research, and Impact, said, “We are excited to continue investing in the future of our industry. This year’s scholarships will help grow the next generation of leaders. We are so proud of everyone who participated and look forward to their bright futures ahead.”

The ABA Foundation has awarded more than $1 million in financial support to more than 300 scholars since the program began in 1995. The ABA Foundation Scholarship Program is generously funded by contributions from ABA members throughout the year, especially during ABA’s Marketplace through events such as the Foundation’s Silent Auction, Purse & Accessories Raffle, and the Afterglow party, sponsored by Hard Rock Cafe International and Prevost.

Congratulations to the 2025 scholarship winners, and thank you to all our supporters and donors who make this program possible.

Founded in 1926, the American Bus Association (ABA) is North America’s leading trade association representing the full spectrum of group travel, domestic tourism, and ground transportation. ABA brings together motorcoach operators, tour companies, manufacturers, travel destinations, attractions, and tourism organizations to connect people with places—and drive the business of travel forward.

About the American Bus Association Foundation

ABA delivers best-in-class services to its members through its signature events and programs, including ABA Marketplace—the premier North American travel and group tour show—and a nationally recognized advocacy and regulatory affairs program. ABA’s Bus Industry Safety Council (BISC) is the industry’s foremost resource for safety, compliance, and operational training, while the Driving Force Council serves as the leading voice for workforce development and talent solutions across the industry.

Through its 501(c)(3) affiliate, the ABA Foundation, ABA invests in the future of the industry by supporting scholarships, advancing critical research and data collection, and leading efforts to combat human trafficking on America’s roadways.
