Starr Bus Charter & Tours, a family-owned motorcoach tour company headquartered in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania, proudly announces the launch of Richmond VA Pride: LGBTQ+ Heritage, Arts & History, a groundbreaking multi-day bus tour created specifically for members of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies. This unique 2026 departure marks what Starr Tours believes is the first LGBTQ+-focused Pride and heritage tour offered by a motorcoach tour operator.

Designed to celebrate inclusion, creativity, and community, the Richmond Pride tour offers travelers an immersive experience highlighting the city’s rich LGBTQ+ history, thriving arts scene, and welcoming culture.

“This tour represents something very meaningful to us,” said Sandy Borowsky, third-generation owner of Starr Tours. “We believe travel should reflect and celebrate the diversity of the people who experience it. This itinerary was created with intention, authenticity, and pride, and we are honored to introduce it.”

Starr Tours worked closely with OutRVA, Richmond’s LGBTQ+ community organization, and Richmond Region Tourism to thoughtfully curate an itinerary that supports local LGBTQ+ artists, venues, and businesses while sharing stories that have often gone untold.

“Richmond is a city where creativity, history, and inclusivity are deeply intertwined,” said Toni Bastian, of Richmond Region Tourism. “We are proud to partner with Starr Tours on a program that authentically celebrates our LGBTQ+ community while inviting visitors to experience Richmond through a lens of culture, connection, and pride.”

An Immersive Pride Experience

The three-day Richmond itinerary blends history, arts, and celebration, including:

  • A live performance by Richmond Triangle Players, a nationally recognized LGBTQ+ theatre company
  • A guided LGBTQ+ heritage and history sightseeing tour of Richmond
  • A lively drag brunch experience at the iconic Godfrey’s
  • Visits to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and the vibrant Carytown district
  • Time to explore the beautiful Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden

This thoughtfully paced tour allows guests to connect, learn, celebrate, and travel in a welcoming and affirming environment alongside fellow travelers and allies.

Leading the Way in Inclusive Group Travel

For nearly eight decades, Starr Tours has been committed to creating meaningful travel experiences rooted in connection, education, and hospitality. The Richmond Pride tour reflects the company’s continued evolution and leadership in inclusive group travel, expanding offerings that welcome travelers of all backgrounds while supporting the communities visited.

“This is more than a getaway,” Borowsky added. “It’s a celebration of identity, history, and belonging, and we are proud to lead the way.”
