Prevost, a member of the Volvo Group and a leading manufacturer of motorcoaches in North America, is proud to announce the appointment of Guillaume Charron, vice president of retail operations, to the Board of Directors of the American Bus Association (ABA). ABA is a leading North American trade association representing the motorcoach, charter bus, group travel, and tourism industries.

Charron, who has been in the motorcoach industry for more than 30 years, will replace François Tremblay on the ABA Board of Directors. Tremblay, president of Prevost, was honored for his nine years of board service at the recent ABA Marketplace in Reno.

“It is with deep gratitude and a real sense of honor that I welcome my appointment to the ABA board of directors,” said Charron. “I sincerely thank the members who have placed their trust in me and recognized, through this appointment, my commitment toward this great industry.”

“We are thrilled to welcome Guillaume from the Prevost team to the ABA Board of Directors,” said Fred Ferguson, ABA president and CEO. “ABA is very much in a growth mode right now, and his appointment is a clear signal of both our strength as an association and our intent to continue expanding our operator base—here at home and internationally. Prevost has long been a cornerstone of the North American motorcoach industry, and Guillaume’s perspective will be invaluable as we work to grow membership, elevate the industry’s voice, and build the next era of ABA.”

“On behalf of the ABA Board, I’m delighted to welcome Guillaume to our Board of Directors,” said Terry Fischer, president and CEO of TCS and ABA Board chair. “Strong governance depends on a steady infusion of fresh perspectives, and Guillaume brings exactly the kind of experience and strategic insight that will strengthen our work in the years ahead.  I also want to extend our sincere thanks to François for his many years of dedicated service to ABA. He leaves the association stronger, more resilient, and well-positioned for the future. We are confident this transition will be positive on all fronts and will further enhance the effectiveness of our Board and our mission.”
