ABA Congratulates the CTIS Class of 2021
The American Bus Association (ABA) – the industry leader advancing North American motorcoach travel and tourism –celebrated the association’s Certified Travel Industry Specialist (CTIS) program and its graduates during its Annual Meeting.
More than 30 years ago, ABA recognized a need within the Travel and Tour industry and teamed up with Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) to provide its members with a correspondence course that helped introduce them to new concepts in the industry and expand their professional and personal skills. To qualify for their CTIS certification, candidates must complete five courses administered by IUPUI's acclaimed professional instructors and evaluate a number of ABA education seminars, usually occurring annually at ABA’s Marketplace.
Since its inception, nearly 850 members have successful completed the program.
“ABA is proud of our industry colleagues who see the value in continuing their professional education, especially during such uncertainty and turmoil this past year.” said ABA President & CEO Peter Pantuso, CTIS. “Our partnership with Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis has enabled us to create a first-class program that has helped many of our graduates achieve greater success in the workplace.”
