Motorcoach Companies Helping Communities Devastated by Hurricane Helene

Hurricane Helene has left widespread destruction, impacting thousands of families and communities along the Atlantic Coast. Now, more than ever, our efforts can make a difference. Several motorcoach companies are stepping up to provide essential support, supplies, and aid to help these communities recover. Join us in this relief effort by donating or volunteering.

How You Can Help

You can get involved in the following ways:

  • Monetary Donations: Financial contributions go directly toward providing essentials like food, water, and shelter for those affected. You can donate directly to local relief organizations.
  • Supply Donations: Essential items like bottled water, canned goods, hygiene products, blankets, and first aid supplies are urgently needed. Find local drop-off points where you can bring these much-needed supplies.
  • Volunteer: Consider volunteering your time to help distribute supplies or assist with rebuilding efforts. Local organizations and motorcoach companies are organizing efforts to transport volunteers and supplies to the affected areas.

Traditionally, tourism and the motorcoach industry have been male-dominated, but a transformative shift is happening. Women are steering their way into key roles, challenging stereotypes, and pioneering change. By embracing diversity, we can bring new perspectives and possibilities that could help foster better economic results for companies.

It’s more important than ever to cultivate an environment where women feel comfortable, included, and heard in our industry, which is why Women in Buses is such an important organization. They are dedicated to the inclusion of women in the industry.  Back in 2016, when I joined Women in Buses, the group was smaller in size, but the meetings and networking events were still a powerhouse of knowledge and support. I attribute a large part of my professional growth to the relationships I have developed through networking and events such as the Women In Buses Day, which takes place at Marketplace annually. It is a great organization for all women, no matter what position, title, or stage of their career they are currently in.

Inclusion is not just the right thing to do, it’s the smart thing in this increasingly competitive and dynamic market. Women remain an untapped resource that, when employed and developed, have the power to expand and grow your business in creative and exciting ways. So talk to the women you meet, invite them to an event, and discuss the incredible opportunities in this vibrant and ever-evolving industry. You never know who the next groundbreaking idea will come from, it could be at the next ABA meeting or event. But only if they are invited and included. Let’s drive towards a future where everyone has a seat at the table and a role in shaping the journey ahead.
