Motorcoach Companies Helping Communities Devastated by Hurricane Helene

Hurricane Helene has left widespread destruction, impacting thousands of families and communities along the Atlantic Coast. Now, more than ever, our efforts can make a difference. Several motorcoach companies are stepping up to provide essential support, supplies, and aid to help these communities recover. Join us in this relief effort by donating or volunteering.

How You Can Help

You can get involved in the following ways:

  • Monetary Donations: Financial contributions go directly toward providing essentials like food, water, and shelter for those affected. You can donate directly to local relief organizations.
  • Supply Donations: Essential items like bottled water, canned goods, hygiene products, blankets, and first aid supplies are urgently needed. Find local drop-off points where you can bring these much-needed supplies.
  • Volunteer: Consider volunteering your time to help distribute supplies or assist with rebuilding efforts. Local organizations and motorcoach companies are organizing efforts to transport volunteers and supplies to the affected areas.

ABA Statement on the Infrastructure Bill

Share

ABA – the industry leader advancing North American motorcoach travel and tourism – released the following statement after the release of details of the Senate infrastructure bill.

“We thank the Group of 10 Senators who negotiated the bill with the Administration for the betterment of the U.S. transportation system that is in desperate need of remarkable regeneration,” said Peter Pantuso, ABA president & CEO. “America's private motorcoach industry wants to support Congress as it works to create a safe and innovative system for all transportation systems.”

The ABA, and its thousands of members nationwide, stand ready to help Congress and the Biden Administration come together to pass a desperately needed infrastructure package that will help the motorcoach, tour and travel industries. As part of the group travel industry, motorcoach travel is a $15 billion industry but has over $100 billion economic impact on the nation’s economy and supports 100,000 jobs direct jobs and more than 2 million additional jobs. While the motorcoach industry has been devastated as a result of COVID-19, a robust infrastructure plan that restores confidence to the traveling public, reduces congestion and enhances safety, is essential to our long-term recovery.
